Hero MotoCorp has revealed the price of the Xtreme 200R for West Bengal and the seven sister states of the East

As per Hero MotoCorp’s website, the Xtreme 200R is available only in an ABS variant (single channel), and costs Rs 88,000 (ex-showroom). The website (perhaps accidentally?) reveals that the bike is available only in the eastern states of India, and is priced the same in all of them. The motorcycle is available in five colours: Heavy Grey with Orange, Black with Sports Red, Sports Red, Panther Black with Force Silver and Techno Blue. We recently tested the motorcycle at the Buddh International Circuit, and you can read the review here.

The Hero Xtreme 200R marks the brand’s re-entry into the premium performance commuter segment after the Indian auto major discontinued the Karizma range. Powering the Xtreme 200R is a 199.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled 2-valve OHC engine. It dishes out 18.4PS of power at 8000rpm and 17.1Nm of torque at 6500rpm, paired with a 5-speed transmission. The diamond type frame rides on 37mm front forks and a seven-step adjustable monoshock at the rear.

A 276mm front disc with single-channel ABS handles braking duties up front. At the rear, it employs a 220mm disc. Its 17-inch alloy wheels are shod with 100-section front and 130-section rear tyres. The Xtreme 200R rivals the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V R 2.0 (Rs 96,230), Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 (Rs 1,12,179 for the single-channel ABS variant), and the Yamaha FZ25 (Rs 1,19,335) (all prices are ex-showroom Delhi). This makes the Xtreme 200R the least powerful, but the most affordable motorcycle in the 200cc segment in India.
