Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday announced disbursal of monthly pension to unmarried men and women in the state between the ages of 40 and 60. As per the announcement by the Haryana CM, unmarried men and women between the age of 40 and 60 will receive a monthly pension of Rupees 2,750. Individuals with an annual income of less than 1.80 lakhs will get the benefit of this pension, he added.
The announcement by Khattar came after a 60-year-old unmarried elderly put forth the demand during a public dialogue program.
According to a report prepared by the CM's office, 1.25 lakh unmarried people will get the benefit of pension from this scheme, as per an ABP News report.
Apart from unmarried people, the Chief Minister also announced a monthly pension for widowers between the age of 40-60 years. The widowers between the ages of 40 and 60 with an annual income of less than Rupees 3 lakh will be given Rupees 2,750 as the pension.
