New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party MP from East Delhi and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir has alleged that he received death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’, reported ANI. Gambhir approached the Delhi Police regarding the matter after which security was beefed up at his residence.
Deputy Commissioner of Police for Central District, Shweta Chauhan said, “Gautam Gambhir has received death threats from 'ISIS Kashmir' through e-mail. Security has been beefed up outside Gambhir's residence."
This is a developing story and more details are awaited.
On Saturday Gambhir had slammed Navjot Singh Sidhu for his statement that Imran Khan is his brother. Gambhir said that “Sidhu should first send his children to the borders and then call the head of a terrorist state his big brother.”
He further targeted Sidhu and said that he did not comment on the killings of 40 civilians and soldiers that happened in Kashmir in the last one month. He said Sidhu went against the people who want to protect India.

"There cannot be a more shameful statement by Sidhu than this. He hugs the Pakistani Army Chief Bajwa, he goes to Kartarpur Sahib and calls Imran Khan his big brother. 40 civilians and soldiers have been killed in Kashmir in the last one month, but he does not comment on that. He goes against the people who want to protect India. When Capt. Amarinder Singh wants to protect India and talked about the country, he did not cooperate. What can be more shameful than this?" he had said.
Gambhir further said that the country is understanding the kind of politics that Sidhu is doing. “He speaks against Capt. Amarinder Singh and chief minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi, and the Prime Minister,” Gambhir said.
