NEW DELHI: Domestic smartphone-maker Intex technologies on Wednesday launched a new budget smartphone in India, the Aqua S7. The highlight of the device is that the Aqua S7 supports 4G-LTE band and is enriched with VoLTE feature.


The 5-inch, HD-IPS display device comes with a 2.5D DragonTrail curved glass which offers smoother touch and elegant look to the device," Anil Kumar Tiwari, Senior Manager, Product Management, said at the launch in the capital on Monday.

The Rs 9,499 device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and is powered by 64-bit Quad core processor assisted by 3GB of RAM.

"With 4G picking up the pace in the country, we have enriched our already diverse 4G portfolio to stay ahead in time and offerings for our discerning consumers," Keshav Bansal, Director, Intex Technologies, told reporters here.

The device comes with a fingerprint scanner placed below the 13MP rear camera with flash and for selfie, the device offers a 5MP secondary camera.

Aqua S7 has 16GB onboard memory which can be expanded to 64GB. It has a 3200 mAh battery.

The device, available through offline channels in rose gold and dark blue colours, also comes with Reliance Jio Preview Offer.
