Will feature Figo Blu-like cosmetic updates and black alloy wheels

Like the Figo, Ford is expected to introduce a Blu variant of the Aspire as well. We say so as a Ford Aspire with ‘Blu’ badging was spotted on public roads a few weeks ago. While at that time we didn’t know what to expect from the ‘Blu’ sedan, the recently launched Figo Titanium Blu has given us some insight. The Aspire Blu is expected to slot above the current top-spec variant of the sub-4 metre sedan - the Titanium+. It is likely to receive cosmetic updates like decals, glossy black ORVMs, a black roof, black alloy wheels and blue bezels around the fog lamp housing. On the inside, it is expected to get blue stitching on the seats, blue inserts on the doors and a leather-wrapped steering wheel, just like the Figo Titanium Blu. However, unlike the Figo Blu which gets various additional features over the Titanium variant, the Aspire Blu might only be a cosmetic update since the Aspire Titanium+ is already a better equipped car than the Figo Blu. With the launch of the Aspire Blu, Ford might also update the Aspire variant lineup and reduce the number of variants on offer. Out of the five variants -- Ambiente, Trend, Trend+, Titanium, Titanium+ -- Ford might discontinue the Trend+ and Titanium+ variants. It is yet to be seen if the Trend variant will be discontinued since it’s the only variant apart from the base-spec Ambiente to get a CNG kit. As far as prices are concerned, the Aspire Blu is expected to be priced at a slight premium over the Aspire Titanium+, which is priced at Rs 7.45 lakh and Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom India), for petrol and diesel, respectively.
