Protesting farmers are bracing up to hold a mega Tractor Parade on the occasion of Republic Day to mark a peaceful protest against the three farm bills. Farmers' representative have made it clear that a peaceful parade will be conducted on Republic Day in the national capital to express their grief over the three contentious agriculture laws passed by the Centre last year. According to the sources, the Delhi police has given the formal approval in written to let the farmers hold the tractor parade on January 26. "We have finally decided, we have agreed that we will have tractor rally also on that day (Republic Day) maintaining the sanctity and security arrangements of the Republic Day celebrations," Dependra Pathak, Special CP said. 


The farmers sitting at the Ghazipur, Singhu and Tikri borders have been making preparations for the tractor rally. The Tractor march will be taken on five routes. More than 1 lakh tractors are expected to be seen taking part in the peaceful rally scheduled for the Republic Day. 


The farmers have submitted the route map to the Delhi Police. According to the sources, the police administration has put some conditions in front of the farmers.

The tractor rally will enter Delhi from Tikri, Singhu and Ghazipur borders, and return to its originating points. From Singhu, it will pass through Kanjhawala, Bawana, Auchandi border, KMP Expressway and then return to Singhu. From Tikri border, it will go to Nagloi & pass through Najafgarh and Western Peripheral Expressway. From Ghazipur border, the rally will go to 56-foot road and return to its originating point passing through Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal Expressway. 


For the security arrangements of the tractor rally, the administration be providing required Police deployment realising that there are elements of threat to create disturbance in the rally.
