In a social media post, Munde claimed that he has been in a relationship with the woman for past several years and even has two children with her. The minister further said that the woman and her sister, who earlier accepted the relationship, are now trying to blackmail him for money.

His defending statement has come after the alleged singer on Monday night had tweeted alleging that she was repeatedly raped by Munde since 2006. In her post, she also wrote that her life is in danger and has sought help from the police.

She tagged the official Twitter handle of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in her tweet and alleged that the police officials did not take cognizance of her complaint. The singer has alleged that Munde has been repeatedly exploiting her sexually by luring her with bright prospects in Bollywood. The woman accusing the minister is the sister of a woman with whom Munde had a prior relationship.

Following the post, Munde took to his social media account stating that the victim and her sister with whom he was in a relationship, were blackmailing him since 2019. Munde further said that he had filed a police complaint and also moved the Bombay High Court seeking a stay on the distribution of defamatory content against him.
