New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a new housing scheme and around 1,348 flats are up for sale. After facing a muted response from its housing schemes earlier, the DDA is expecting this time they will be able to generate better interest.

The process of applications, payments, and issuance of possession letters for the scheme will be done online through the AWAAS software and applications will remain active until February 16, 2021,

HIG, MIG, and EWS Flats

There are around 230 are HIG flats in Dwarka and Vasant Kunj, and 704 are MIG category flats in Jasola and Dwarka. While the MIG flats will be around 120 to 130 square feet are the HIG flats will be 150 to 170 square feet area. Out of the total, 275 flats located in  Manglapuri and Dwarka are for the economically weaker sections. LIG flats are located in Rohini. The flats range from Rs 27.5 lakh to Rs 2.14 crore. While the HIG flats in Jasola cost Rs 2.1 crore, the MIG flats are priced at Rs 1.2 crore.

How To Apply?

Due to the pandemic, the process of applications, payments, and issuance of possession letters for the scheme will be done online using the AWAAS software. Those interested can submit the applications until February 16, 2021. The online application is available on the official website www.dda.org.in. Those applicants who meet necessary criteria will also be eligible for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana subsidy scheme.

Things to keep in mind

  • The applicant has to be a citizen of India, should be 18 years of age on the date of application.

  • One person can submit only one application either in his/her name or as joint application

  • The applicant should not own any dwelling unit in full or part on leasehold or freehold in Delhi in his or her name, spouse, and on the name of a dependent. They should also not have should not have a house/plot/flat already allotted by the DDA.

  • The applicant should have a bank account and should have a PAN card.

  • Before filling the form, keep the following ready-  Applicant Passport size photo, Applicant Signature photo and Applicant's Joint passport size photo and signature (in case joint application). These should be in jpeg format.

  • There is no income criterion, except for EWS flats where the income of the applicant should not exceed Rs 3 lakh per annum.

  • Registration amount can be paid through Net Banking or NEFT/RTGS. The payment Method option is available on the screen at the time of submitting the form.
