A building collapsed near Mangla Chowk in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur on Saturday as a drain was being built near the building. The landlord of the collapsed building said that the construction work was being carried out for two days below the building due to which the base of the building became weak. "...The construction work of the drain was done for 2 days just below the building. It was being done carelessly by the Corporation. They were digging for 10-12 feet below the building which resulted in the house collapse," shopowner and landlord of collapsed building, Vishal Gupta said, as per an ANI report. 


The base of the house became weak due to the construction of the drain, due to which a big incident has happened today, he said, adding, "I have lost all my assets... it's a huge loss."






No casualties have been reported from the incident.
