Amit Shah To Visit Poll-Bound Haryana Today, 2nd Time In Fortnight
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit the Mahendragarh district of Haryana on Tuesday where he is to address a meeting of the backward classes.
This is going to be his second visit in the past over a fortnight to Haryana, which goes to polls later this year.
"Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri @AmitShah ji will address the Backward Classes Samman Sammelan," Haryana BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli posted on his social media handle X on Monday. The event will be held in Mahendragarh's Pali.
In the last 10 years, the BJP has faced significant electoral gains in the south Haryana region of the Ahirwal belt, which includes Mahendragarh. Swati Maliwal Assault: Delhi Police Likely To File Charge Sheet
The Delhi Police is likely to file a charge sheet on Tuesday regarding the assault case against AAP MP Swati Maliwal, allegedly involving Bibhav Kumar, an aide to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, PTI cited the official sources as informing.
The probe is nearly complete, and the police are prepared to submit the charge sheet against Kumar at the Tis Hazari court, the sources also said. The police have assembled a charge sheet exceeding 1,000 pages, with testimonies from the security staff present at the residence of Kejriwal during the alleged incident.
Authorities have also collected the DVR from Kejriwal's residence and seized many devices, including Kumar's two mobile phones. Kumar was taken to Mumbai twice during police custody to retrieve the allegedly deleted data from his phones.
Maliwal has accused Kumar of assaulting her when she visited the Chief Minister's residence on May 13.
