He told ANI, "Accused Shankar Mishra has been arrested from Bengaluru last night. He was staying in a homestay under PS Sanjay Nagar area. An investigation is being done. Some crew members and co-passengers have also been called for questioning."
"The victim is not feeling well and therefore we could not have a detailed conversation with her. Three co-travellers have been identified. They are currently out of Delhi and will come as per their convenience," he added.

Air India Staff Summoned By Delhi Police Over ‘Peeing’ Incident
The Delhi Police summoned Air India staff on Saturday in connection with the incident in which a passenger allegedly urinated on a female co-passenger onboard a flight from New York to Delhi, news agency PTI reported.
According to the report, the Air India staff, including the pilot and co-pilot, were issued summons for Friday, however they failed to appear. Now, they have been summoned at the office of deputy commissioner of police (airport) on Saturday at 10.30 am.
Meanwhile, the accused Shankar Mishra, who had urinated on his co-passenger, a senior citizen in her seventies, allegedly in an inebriated state in the business class of the Air India flight on November 26 last year, was fired by his employer US-based Wells Fargo on Friday.
“Wells Fargo holds employees to the highest standards of professional and personal behavior and we find these allegations deeply disturbing. This individual has been terminated from Wells Fargo. We are cooperating with law enforcement and ask that any additional inquiries be directed to them," the American bank said in a statement.
Mishra was the vice-president of the India Chapter of the American multinational financial services company headquartered in California.
Amit Shah To Address Rally In Jharkhand’s Chaibasa Today
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address a public rally at Chaibasa in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district on Saturday, BJP leaders said.
Security has been beefed up in Chaibasa in view of the proposed visit of the Home Minister, officials said.
State BJP president Deepak Prakash, former Jharkhand Chief Ministers Babulal Marandi who is also the leader of the BJP legislative party and Raghubar Das, Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu held meetings with BJP workers and leaders to make Shah’s programme a grand success.
The proposed visit of Shah is said to be crucial in view of the 2024 parliamentary elections besides 2024 assembly elections.
Shah who will reach Chaibasa on Saturday is scheduled to fly to Chhattisgarh in the afternoon after addressing the rally.
