Not sure which colour to choose for your next ride? We suggest the best options out there






A thing as simple as a paint scheme does a lot to enhance or devalue your ride’s appearance. While colour options might be less on larger capacity bikes, most auto manufacturers offer a large palette to choose from for their small capacity machines. In this series we list out the various colours out there and point out what we think are the best option for a particular bike/ scooter. Do bear in mind that choosing a colour is a very personal choice. Let get started with TVS.




 


TVS Jupiter:


This is the Hosur-based bike manufacturer’s best-selling product and comes in a vast array of colours. The base variant Jupiter gets five gloss and three matte colour options. Gloss ones include Midnight Black, Pristine White, Mystic Gold and Volcano Red. Matte colours are Titanium Grey, Matte Blue and Mate Silver. Of these we would pick the Walnut Brown for its unique shade and premium feel. 


The ZX version gets a shade called Stallion Brown. It also comes with a special ‘Million R edition’ in a unique wine colour and that would be our pick here. 


You also have the Classic variant that comes in two unique shades: Sunlit Ivory and Autumn Brown. We like the Sunlit Ivory shade more as it blends betters with the chrome trim and special seat cover. 




TVS Scooty Zest 110:


TVS’s popular runabout, the Scooty Zest 110 comes in nine colours. They include the matte series and the Himalayan High series, which gets gloss paint options. The matte series includes purple, blue, black, yellow and red. Of this, we like the matte black colour option as it gives the bike a more unisex appeal. Of the gloss paint series, which includes Turquoise Blue, Powerful Pink, Pearl Peach and Citrus Orange, it is the Turquoise Blue colour that gets our vote. 




TVS Ntorq 125:


The Ntorq 125 is a good looking scooter. When launched, it came with four matte colour schemes: red, white, green and yellow. It recently received three metallic paint options too- blue, gray and red. We’d pick the metallic red option as it perfectly complements the Ntorq’s sporty demeanour. If you have your heart set on matte, we would suggest the matte yellow paint job.


 


TVS Apache series:




Apache RTR 200 4V:


The base RTR 200 gets four colour options: black/red, grey/yellow, red/black and white/red. Of these, the grey/yellow one would be our pick as the grey colour lends a premium feel while the yellow accents contrast nicely and lend a sporty touch to the bike. The ABS variants are only available in black/red and white/red paint options, while the FI variant is only offered in white/red.




Apache RTR 160 4V:


The baby RTR 160 is styled like its larger 200cc cousin. However, gets enough updates to help it maintain its own identity. It comes in three colour options: red, black and blue. Of these, we’d pick the blue paint scheme for its unique shade. It is also the only one of the three with white-painted rear three quarter panels.
