Homegrown automaker to bear the cost of service and replacement of lubricants and other minor parts
Bajaj Auto has joined other major automakers like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai to provide aid to those affected by the floods in Kerala and neighbouring states. The homegrown motorcycle manufacturer has announced that it will be organising free service camps across Kerala between August 28 and September 4. Owners of Bajaj motorcycles can avail a free check-up and service across the company’s dealership network in the state.
In case any damage is detected, the company says it will replace minor components free of cost. It will also flush the engines of affected motorcycles apart from replacing the oil, filters and gaskets for free.
“The devastating floods in Kerala have severely affected life and livelihood of our fellow countrymen. Bajaj Auto and its motorcycle dealerships shall ensure that all flood-affected Bajaj bikes are made road-worthy as quickly as possible so that full mobility is restored to Bajaj motorcycle owners,” said Eric Vas, the president of Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto.
To ensure timely repairs, the company has mobilised spare parts as well as additional technicians from neighbouring states. In case of irreparable damage, the company's dealerships will also help owners prepare insurance claim documents in a quick manner.
