Hyderabad: The Meteorological officials said that there is a possibility of rain in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Monday. In AP, strong winds blow from the east and northeast at low altitudes. 


The Amaravati Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains in the state for two days. In the southwestern Bay of Bengal and its surrounding areas, the surface periodicity extends up to 3.1 km above sea level. 


The cold intensity in Andhra Pradesh has increased slightly due to heavy rains over the last four to five days. Coastal Andhra and Yanam will receive light to moderate rains for the next two days. Besides the regional meteorological department in the state has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, Yanam (Puducherry) and West Godavari districts.


In the wake of untimely rains, farmers are advised to take care of their grain and crop products. Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam, and Potti Sriramulu Nellore districts will also receive light showers on Monday.


Heavy rain with thunder and lightning is expected in some places. The Meteorological Department forecast that the weather would be dry the next day. The lowest temperature was recorded at Kalingapatnam at 19.4 degrees, Nandigama at 19.8 degrees and Jangameshwarapuram at 19.8 degrees.


Rayalaseema will receive moderate rains on Monday. There is a chance of light showers in some places on Tuesday. The weather will be dry from Wednesday, said the director of the Amaravati Meteorological Center. In Rayalaseema, Arogyavaram recorded 19 degrees Celsius, Nandyal 20.6 degrees Celsius, Kurnool 20.1 degrees Celsius and Tirupati 22 degrees Celsius. Cold winds are blowing in the wake of the rains.


Telangana Weather Update


It has been raining heavily in several districts of Telangana for the last one week. The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rains with thunder and lightning on Monday. A yellow alert was issued in the wake of the rains. 


There is a possibility of light to moderate rains in some districts. People and farmers are advised to be vigilant as there is a possibility of hailstorms in some parts of the Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Warangal districts.
