Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy stopped his convoy to meet a woman and her ailing son and offered them help on Thursday. A video of Jagan Mohan Reddy getting down from a bus he was travelling in and enquiring about the boy’s health condition has gone viral on social media.


While visiting Tuni in the Kakinada district, CM Jagan Reddy noticed a woman carrying her son in her arms and  asking for help with her son's illness amidst the crowd. Seeing this, Reddy halted his convoy and went on to meet the woman.


Tanuja, a resident of Mandapam village in Sankhavaram Mandal under Prathipadu constituency, explained her son’s health condition to the Chief Minister and sought help.

Later, Jagan Reddy directed the collector to immediately provide help to the woman and her son. Within two hours, the district collector provided financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to the boy's mother and sanctioned a monthly pension from September.


On Thursday, CM Jagan Reddy attended the wedding of Andhra Pradesh SC Corporation Chairperson Pedapati Ammaji's daughter at Payakaraopet in Anakapalli district. On Thursday morning, the CM left Tadepalli in a helicopter and reached Tuni Raja College Grounds.


He was welcomed by ministers Daissetty Raja and Gudivada Amarnath. From there, CM Jagan reached Payakaraopet by road, participated in the wedding ceremony, and blessed the couple.
