A manhunt has been launched in Delhi to arrest the fugitive Pro-Khalistan leader Amritpal Singh. Both Delhi police and Punjab police have launched a search operation in view of any possibility of Amritpal Singh entering the national capital region, reported news agency ANI.

1. Uttarakhand Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) V Murugesan said on Saturday that an alert has been sounded in the state over the possibility of absconding pro-Khalisatn leader Amriptla Singh making an entry into the state.
2. Murugesan said he received inputs from Punjab Police regarding Amritpal's entry to Uttarakhand via Harayana after fleeing Punjab.
3. On Saturday, Gulneet Khurana, SSP Bathinda, said, "It is our appeal that people must not believe the fake information about the arrest of Amritpal Singh which is being spread on social media. Whenever an arrest is made, information will be given by police through a press conference," reported ANI.
4. On Friday, Delhi police also launched a search operation along with Punjab police to find out the whereabouts of Amritpal Singh in the national capital.
5. Delhi police quoted sources as saying that the head of the pro-Khalistan group Waris Punjab De is suspected to have left for New Delhi after fleeing other bordering states, reported news agency ANI.
6. A search operation is underway after Delhi police got intelligence inputs of a sighting of Khalisatn leader at the ISBT bus terminal in the national capital.
7. According to intelligence inputs received by Delhi police, Amritpal may have been disguised as a sadhu (saint), rep0rted ANI. This search operation to arrest him was launched after Punjab police expressed doubts about Amritpal entering Delhi in any vehicle except a bus.
8. Police in New Delhi, Dehradun, Haridwar, and Udham Singh Nagar districts are conducting intensive tracking of the situation to nab Amriptal Singh.
9. On Friday, the Punjab police also released around 44 persons, who were arrested under the provisions of preventive detention as part of the ongoing operation to apprehend Amritpal Singh.
10. According to Punjab's General of Police (IGP) Sukhchain Singh Gill, Amritpal Singh's last known location was somewhere in Harayna, reported news agency ANI.
