In terms of styling, the updated Figo looks largely similar to the pre-facelift model. However, it gets slightly reworked front and rear bumpers tweaked headlamps and a new mesh front grille like the Aspire facelift. Inside the cabin, it features a new dashboard, which has been borrowed from the Freestyle, albeit with an all-black finish.

Under the bonnet, it gets a new set of petrol engines. The existing 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol unit has been replaced by a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine from the Freestyle that makes 96PS of power and 120Nm of torque (8PS/8Nm more). The petrol automatic variant gets the new 1.5- litre, 3-cylinder unit from EcoSport instead of the older 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder engine. It produces 123PS/150Nm, up by 11PS/14Nm. The 1.5-litre diesel engine has been carried forward and makes 100PS/215Nm.

Where the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines can be had with a 5-speed MT, the 1.5-litre petrol unit is available with a 6-speed torque converter.

In terms of features, the new Figo is better loaded than before. Standard safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and seatbelt reminder for front passengers. It also gets first-in-segment side and curtain airbags. However, they are limited to the top-spec Titanium Blu variant. The Titanium automatic variant also gets some exclusive features including traction control (TC), electronic stability program (ESP) and hill launch assist (HLA).

Other features on offer include auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, push-button start, automatic climate control and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and navigation.

The updated Figo renews its rivalry against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10.
