Commemorating the independence of India, the ride, covering 5600 km, was flagged off from India Gate





With a view to spread the message of friendship across neighbouring countries, Suzuki recently organised a ‘Tri-cultural Ride’ which was flagged off from India Gate, New Delhi, on 15th August 2018. The riders were three times Ironman title winner Abhishek Mishra and competitive motorcyclist and adventure traveler Sonia Jain.





Their companion during the ride was the Suzuki Intruder Fi, Suzuki’s 150cc cruiser offering that competes with the Bajaj Avenger 180. The ride took them through 3 different countries, covering 5600 km in total. At the end of the journey, the two riders rode down the ‘Friendship Expressway Corridor’ and culminated the ride on 7th September in Bangkok, Thailand.

Two riders, three countries, 5600 kms and a Suzuki Intruder Fi for a companion


New Delhi, September 20, 2018: Celebrating the spirit of brotherhood and spreading the message of love and friendship, three times Ironman title winner, Abhishek Mishra and competitive motorcyclist and an adventure traveler, Sonia Jain successfully completed the Suzuki Brotherhood Tri-cultural ride that was flagged-off on Independence Day.

The Tri-Cultural Ride which was started from India Gate, New Delhi in India, on August 15 culminated on September 07 in Bangkok – Capital of Thailand via a ‘Friendship Expressway Corridor’ covering numerous cities, different climate and various cultures. The duo passed through Lucknow, Patna, Nagrakata, Guwahati, Dimapur and Imphal in India and entered Myanmar border from Tamu with Keng Tung being their last stop in the scenic country travelling to Bangkok via Sukhothai.

On successful completion of the Tri-Cultural Brotherhood ride, Mr. Sajeev Rajasekharan, EVP, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, “We congratulate Abhishek Mishra and Sonia Jain on their achievement of completing the Tri-Cultural ride in the stipulated time and spreading the message of brotherhood and friendship. My 5600 kms of adventure on Suzuki Intruder Fi has made me realize that if you are fit and active you will never run down on energy and you will readily take up challenges with a pinch of salt to feel satisfied and imbibe wisdom with time and experience. I am extremely thankful to Suzuki Motorcycle India for all the support in making this rising a successful one.”

Ms. Sonia Jain, a well-known traveler and motorcyclist, said, “It was an enriching experience riding across three nations and culture, it was a milestone that I have wanted to strike of my checklist for so long. I believe that any journey taken in life teaches us a lot and we always return wiser, stronger and livelier. Despite riding through versatile terrains and extreme weather condition, Suzuki Intruder Fi maneuverability and sturdiness was impeccable living up to the spirit of modern day cruiser. An adventure motorcyclist is always happy when in charge of the wheels, and I am extremely grateful to Suzuki’s management for giving me a platform like this to push my limits and adventure worth reliving.”
