New Delhi: Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar has apologised and termed the incident "unfortunate" in which his bodyguard had punched a fan who was trying to take selfie with him.


"What happened that day was unfortunate and uncalled for. I was at the airport and I heard a commotion which made me turn around, I didn't notice anything wrong so I walked on. It was later brought to my notice that my bodyguard had punched a fan", he tweeted yesterday.

"I have reprimanded him and given him a strict warning for the same. My sincere apology to the fan who was hurt. I hold my fans in the highest regard and such incidents are always upsetting. I will ensure such a scenario is avoided in the future", Akshay Kumar added.





In a shocking incident, an Akshay Kumar fan was punched in his head by the actor's bodyguard.

The fan was waiting outside the Mumbai airport to catch a glimpse of the star and as he tried to take a picture with the star the bodyguard of actor punched him.

The onlookers were left totally baffled. Akshay Kumar was whisk away from the scene. The actor was absolutely unaware of what had happened.

The bodyguard has been working with Akshay for several years. In 2014, Akshay's bodyguard had slapped a dentist after he tried to come close to the actor during a film shoot outside a residential building in Malad. The doctor then called the police control room, who took both of them to the police station. The bodyguard was allowed to go after a strict warning.
