As Valentine's Day approaches, Zomato has launched an innovative feature, catching the attention of popular dating apps like Tinder and Bumble. In preparation for Cupid's arrows, Zomato now offers users an opportunity to discover their ideal foodie companion through a distinctive matchmaking service. This service intelligently pairs individuals based on their culinary preferences, suggesting that a shared love for food could potentially lead to a more profound connection.

For those navigating dating websites during Valentine's week, Zomato has introduced an intriguing concept.

The platform now enables users to discover potential matches, albeit with a twist – matching them with a foodie who shares similar taste preferences.

How To Use Zomato's Matchmaking Feature? Check Here

  1. Navigate to the homepage of the Zomato mobile app and tap on "Explore now" under "Celebrate Valentine's Week."

  2. Subsequently, select "Find a match," leading to a page titled "Find a foodie match."

  3. Specify your gender and preference, then tap on "Find a Match."

  4. The resulting page will confirm your match with a foodie.

The matched names may appear human, but they are, in fact, personifications of food dishes. Examples include Mala as Malai Chaap, Gul as Gulaab Jamun, Raj as Raj Kachori, and Urfi as Burfi, among others. Users have shared their reactions on social media platform X.

A user, @RahulGoradia1 expressed, "Ngl, would rather take Palak paneer all day, such a green flag sabzi".

Another user, @ishaanmeet, remarked, "O bhai Saab, #Zomato ne match making bhi shuru kar di...OMG...Ye kuch karnaama karenge is hisab se."

This initiative aligns with the trend of online food delivery and e-commerce platforms introducing new offers and incentives during Valentine's week. Earlier this month, Amazon launched its specially curated Valentine's Day store, available until February 14. Flipkart introduced a special Mobile Bonanza sale, valid until February 15.

Zomato-owned Blinkit also unveiled a new feature called "Single Mode" for solo shoppers, allowing them to explore products tailored to individual needs.
