With over 6.6 million unique dishes available on Swiggy's menu nationwide, food lovers from Mumbai to Delhi were actively placing orders. Some interesting search trends revealed that users were looking for "Swiggy" or "order" on Swiggy, with 5028 and 1682 searches, respectively, not finding what they were seeking.


Ordering Stars Of 2023:


A notable Mumbai resident set a record, placing food orders worth a staggering INR 42.3 lakh. Meanwhile, even smaller towns like Jhansi made their mark, with one user ordering an impressive 269 items in a single order for a party.


Dishes That Stole The Limelight:


During Durga Pujo, Gulab Jamuns outshone Roshogollas with over 7.7 million orders. Masala Dosa dominated as the top veg order throughout Navaratri, and in Hyderabad, Idli took the crown with a customer spending a noteworthy 6 lakhs on them. Biryani continued its reign as the most-ordered dish for the eighth consecutive year, with a rate of 2.5 biryanis per second.


Bangalore: The 'Cake Capital':


Bangalore claimed the title of 'Cake Capital' with a remarkable 8.5 million orders for chocolate cake. On Valentine's Day alone, India ordered an impressive 271 cakes per minute.


Vegans celebrated a 146% rise in vegan orders on Swiggy Guiltfree. The battle between Japanese and Korean cuisine tilted in favor of Anime, with Japanese dishes securing twice as many orders.


Dining Out and Savings:


Swiggy One and One Lite users saved over INR 900 crores, while Swiggy Dineout users saved a remarkable INR 300 crores. Instamart enthusiasts ordered from the 17th most populated 'Insta-pur' globally, and a Jaipur user placed an astonishing 67 orders in a single day. In Delhi, the delivery of instant noodles took just 65 seconds!
