Malala Yousafzai, known for her inspiring activism, recently delighted fans by dressing up as a desi Barbie for a special movie date with her husband, Asser Malik. The Nobel laureate shared a photo on Instagram, showing the couple all smiles as they enjoyed their time together. In the picture, Malala looked stunning in a pink salwar-kameez ensemble, resembling a life-sized Barbie in a curated box for moviegoers. With her characteristic wit, she cleverly captioned the photo, "This Barbie has a Nobel Prize. He's just Ken".

The couple went to see Greta Gerwig's "Barbie," which opened in theatres alongside Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer" on July 21. Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as Barbie and Ken, the film has garnered rave reviews from audiences worldwide.
Malala, who earned her degree in politics, philosophy, and economics from Oxford University in 2020, made history as the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate for her advocacy of education.
Her journey has not been without difficulties. Malala survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban in 2012 as a result of her courageous stand against the Taliban's ban on women education. Since then, she has dedicated her life to advocating for girls' access to high-quality education.
Malala happily announced her marriage to Asser Malik via social media on November 9, 2021.
On numerous occasions, her entrepreneur husband has expressed his love and admiration for her. Earlier this month, Asser shared a touching message in honour of Malala's 26th birthday, along with a sweet photo of the couple holding hands.
"Happy Birthday, Malala. You don't need any reminders of how amazing you are. But for what it's worth, you are the best partner I could have ever hoped for," he wrote on Instagram.
