New Delhi: There have been a lot of deaths in the country in the recent past owing to cardiac arrest or a heart attack. From celebrities to commoners, irrespective of their age, have succumbed to heart attacks. This sudden surge in cases of people suffering from heart attacks has caused it to trend on Twitter. #HeartAttack has filled up the feeds and people are worried about this sudden surge.

Netizens have posted several footage and videos where people have collapsed all of a sudden due to a case of cardiac arrest and have requested people to be more aware of chest pain and seek help immediately without delay.

In addition, the sudden loss of artists like KK, Raju Srivastava, Siddharth Shukla, and others, has shocked the industry. The number of heart attacks and cardiac arrests among young people has also dramatically increased over the past year. Most recently, at a wedding in Uttar Pradesh, the bride passed away from a cardiac arrest just minutes after exchanging garlands on stage.

The tendency is more significant now, especially in light of the recent increase in sudden heart deaths among young people aged 22 to 45. Recently, a number of videos depicting youthful and middle-aged persons passing very abruptly have gone viral on social media.

A doctor has requested in a tweet to keep Tab Aspirin 300 with us whenever we leave home. He said, "Keep Tab Aspirin 300 mg in your pockets/wallets always & pop it asap if u develop sudden severe chest pain/radiating to neck-left arm. Don't neglect chest pain as gastritis."

A tweet has also been shared where a 23-year-old girl fainted while dancing and died suddenly at a wedding reception, while a child of 10th Standard collapses suddenly and dies after running a 100 meter race.

There is another video of a young man of 25, who died simply while walking.

Lifestyle Changes That Can Be Done To Prevent The Risk Of Heart Attack:

The consumption of junk food, alcohol, and smoking is strongly discouraged by doctors, as is leading an unhealthy lifestyle that includes stress from prolonged desk jobs, little exercise, and inadequate sleep to reduce the risk of a heart attack. Here are some lifestyle changes mentioned below that will prevent heart attacks:

1. Healthy Eating:

Your diet comes first and foremost. The best strategy to combat heart diseases and other chronic health problems may be through a well-balanced and nutrient-rich diet. The regular consumption of certain foods can raise your blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels, which can all have an effect on how well your heart functions normally. It is good to reduce your consumption of processed foods, refined foods, and harmful fats.

2. Engage In Some Physical Activity:

It is important to exercise regularly each day. According to research, engaging in at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise each week can help you maintain a healthy weight, drop your blood pressure, and lower your cholesterol. The risk of heart disease rises with weight gain, particularly in the midsection of the body. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes are just a few problems that can be brought on by being overweight and raise the risk of getting a heart disease.

3. Adequate Sleep:

Lack of sleep increases the risk of obesity, high blood pressure, heart attacks, diabetes, and depression in individuals. It's crucial to prioritise your sleep because most adults require at least seven hours of sleep each night.

4. Reducing The Amount Of Salt Intake:

It is good to reduce the amount of salt you add to food at the table or while cooking, whereas much of the salt eaten comes from canned or processed foods, such as soups, baked goods and frozen dinners. Eating fresh foods and making your own soups and stews can reduce the amount of salt you eat.

5. Limit The consumption Of Alcohol:

Too much alcohol consumption can increase the risk of heart disease, cardiomyopathy, stroke, cancer, and other illnesses. It can cause irregular heartbeats and elevated triglyceride levels as well.
