Dussehra 2020: The season of festivals begins with Navratri and people are preparing to celebrate Dussehra which is also known as Vijaydashmi. The term  Dussehra is made up of two words, Dasha which means ten, and Hara which means defeat. The festival is observed on the tenth day in the Hindu month of Ashvin.
The festival marks the victory of the Rama over Ravana. Diwali is celebrated 20 days after Dussehra. This year Dusshera will be celebrated on October 25, Sunday. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, stringent precautions are being taken and large-scale celebrations may not take place in many areas. But you can still share the message of courage and love with your loved ones!
