New Delhi: Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan used a rather unorthodox approach of conducting an inspection in his flood-hit state, on Sunday.

Two policemen carried the CM as they waded across slightly higher than ankle-deep water.

CM wrapped his arms over their shoulders for support and managed to stay dry in his make-shift seat.

With several days of continuous downpour in the Vindhya region of Madhya Pradesh, about 100 villages in Rewa and Satna district have been devastated by floods, officials said on Sunday.

They said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan travelled by train to arrive in Satna at 10 p.m. on Saturday and met the flood-hit families.
