Chitragupta Puja 2021: According to the Hindu Calendar, November 6, 2021 (Saturday) is the second day of Shukla Paksha, which falls in the month of Kartik. Lord Chitragupta is remembered and worshipped on this day. In his remembrance, books, pen, and ink are worshipped on this auspicious day. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Chitragupta incarnated from the body of Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. According to another mythological story, he was incarnated when the ocean was churned. It is believed that 14 gems were obtained when the ocean was churned, the same event where he is said to have originated with Goddess Lakshmi. Lord Chitragupta is said to be worshipped with Goddess Jwalamukhi, Goddess Chandi, and Mahishasur Mardini.
