New Delhi: Athiya Shetty's 'Muhurtham' Saree has changed the life of a weaver, creating an inspiring tale of craftsmanship. In a heartwarming turn of events, Athiya Shetty's wedding saree has ignited a profound change. Known for her impeccable fashion choices, Athiya captivated us once again with her traditional saree from her 'Muhurtham' ceremony. Draped in resplendent gold shades, this Kanchipuram saree was complemented by a vibrant rani pink blouse.

What makes this story even more extraordinary is the weaver behind the masterpiece. Since Athiya graced the occasion in this ethereal attire, the said weaver's life also underwent a remarkable shift.

The demand for her sarees surged, prompting her to expand her looms to fulfill incoming orders. This surge in demand not only fortified the textile industry but also facilitated education for underprivileged children through Ar Of Living Free Schools. Athiya's stylist, Ami Patel, shared this poignant tale behind the Muhurtham saree on Instagram.

Taking to Instagram, Ami Patel wrote, "Athiya Shetty chose this beautiful gold tissue kanchivaram weave from Madhurya Creations for her Muhurtham ceremony. 💞This sari was woven by a weaver called Devi from the Tiruvannamalai district in Tamil Nadu, and her father is a master-weaver."

"Since, Athiya’s worn the sari, Devi has expanded to 8 looms that have been continuously working to match the orders pouring in. 🫶🏻 She has enough work to support these looms for the next 3 months and still counting. ✨On national handloom day, today I implore every bride to wear handloom for at least one of thier wedding events, just like how Athiya supported india’s precious textile industry," Ami furtehr said.

Ami also said, "By wearing this sari, Athiya has not only supported the textile industry but also the helped educate many underprivileged children from the Art of Living Free Schools since the proceeds from the sale of these saris all go towards this cause."

Athiya Shetty is a fashion girl, but after her wedding looks, it's evident that the actor can ace all her beauty looks just the same. From handpicking ornamental flowers for her hair bun to elevating the less-is-more makeup approach–the bride went back to her roots yet remained in the contemporary world. Perfectly amalgamating the old and new, her wedding makeup looks reimagined modern bridal beauty.

A theme of statement minimalism has run through all of Athiya's wedding looks. While the star may have experimented with bohemian and romantic hairdos, her glam has always been radiant and glowy.

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at her father and actor Suneil Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala earlier this year.
