Norwegian DJ and music producer Alan Walker has teamed up with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to create a first-of-its-kind team song ahead of the upcoming season in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Titled ‘Team Side ft RCB’ and featuring pop artist Sofiloud, the sensational track was premiered live for the very first time at his thirty-minute set at #RCBUnbox on March 19 at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The collaboration "Team Side ft RCB" showcases Alan Walker's enduring triumph in the Indian music landscape and his aspirations for what lies ahead. Infused with an infectious electro-house rhythm, this three-minute anthem incorporates English, Kannada, and Hindi, aiming to generate anticipation and involvement for Alan's forthcoming music launches, arena tour, and upcoming partnerships.
The 26-year-old international sensation delivered a diverse and captivating performance, spanning more than 30 minutes, to an audience of over 25,000. The audience responded positively to this unexpected addition, further enhancing the excitement of the event.
After the performance, Walker stated, "I had a great time performing at the #RCBUnbox event and it was a surreal feeling to be surrounded by so much fan love, joy and positivity in the stadium. I had the pleasure meeting both Virat Kohli and Dinesh Kartik, both amazing cricketers and humans. I’m also happy to see that women's cricket is flourishing in India and my best wishes to Smriti Mandhana. Looking forward to be back again soon!"
Apart from his engaging headlining performance, Alan Walker joined Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Smriti Mandhana on stage to unveil the team’s brand-new jersey. Following the success of his debut IPL association, the singer is gearing up to announce the India edition of his flagship global tour WalkerWorld later this week.
