Chennai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested practicing Kerala High Court advocate and Popular Front of India (PFI) marital arts and hit squad trainer in connection with Kerala's PFI Case. The arrested person was identified as Mohammed Mubarak AI.
According to ANI, “National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday arrested 14th accused Mohammed Mubarak in the Kerala Popular Front of India case registered Suo-moto on September 19.”
The arrested was a resident of Ernakulam.
The arrest comes after searches conducted by NIA for two days on Wednesday and Thursday in Kerala.

In a statement, NIA said, Mohammed Mubarak AI was a PFI martial arts and hit squad trainer. He is also a practicing advocate in Kerala HC. During the searches at his house, the agency said that they recovered arms concealed in a badminton racket bag.
An axe, swords and sickles were also seized from the accused's house.
"Investigations have confirmed that the PFI was raising, training and maintaining Hit Squads in different states and districts to target leaders and members of other communities," said NIA.
On Wednesday and Thursday, National Investigation Agency conducted searches in the premises and offices of suspects linked to PFI.
NIA said, "NIA conducted searches at 56 locations including residences of PFI's 7 State Executive Committee members, 7 Zonal Heads, 15 Physical Training Instructors-Trainers, houses of 7 cadres trained in use of knives, daggers, swords and other types of weapons to carry out murderous violent acts."
Earlier, Ministry of Home Affairs banned PFI for five years under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 in September.
