It is very rare to find a doctor giving a prescription with legible handwriting but in Kerala Dr Nithin Narayanan, has drawn attention and received accolades for his prescriptions written in legible block letters.
Dr Nithin received praise for his legible handwriting on prescriptions as it's rare to find such prescriptions from a doctor. It was also reported by News Minute that his prescriptions have gone viral for the way they are written.
The Kerala doctor Dr Nithin Narayanan, who hails from Padiyur in Thrissur district, while speaking to the media said he likes writing and he was good with handwriting since his childhood. He tries to maintain the same while writing prescriptions as well, said The News Minute report.

"Pharmacists must be used to a wide variety of handwriting and mine would be the same for them," Dr Nithin told Asianet. Although his handwriting has been neat and legible since his childhood, he made efforts to continue to write neatly in the prescriptions.
He further said that copybook exercises helped him which his sister used to make him write in four-lined notebooks in his childhood. “Maybe because I love to write, I write my prescriptions in block letters. The other doctors write illegibly because maybe they are busy. I try my best to write prescriptions legibly even when I’m busy. Patients often appreciate this,” he said.
Dr Nithin has been working at Community Health Centre (CHC) in Palakkad's Nemmara for the last three years after completing of MD in Paediatrics from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER).
