Shahrukh Saifi, the prime accused in Kozhikode train fire, ran a YouTube channel with 539 subscribers and 90,000 K viewers.
According to IANS, Saifi's videos involved creating furniture and his other skills. However, the authenticity of the channel was not verified, said the report.
One of his neighbours on condition of anonymity said, "He started uploading videos a year ago on his YouTube channel @shahrukhsaifiscarpentry883' and he had uploaded six videos to date. His every video had views in thousands."
He also said that the family and most of the neighbours were in shock when they heard about Shahrukh being a prime accused in the Kozhikode train fire incident.
On April 2, three passengers including a two-year-old child died while nine others suffered injuries after a co-passenger sprinkled petrol on them and lit a fire on Alappuzha-Kannur Express train at 9.45 pm.
After a thorough investigation, the police in a joint operation with Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism and Central intelligence agencies arrested the suspect Saifi from Maharashtra on April 4.

On Thursday, Saifi was brought to Kozhikode. The authorities have started an investigation into Saifi's past and his potential connection. However, the police are yet to reveal the other details about the case.
The 24-year-old Saifi is currently undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
Meanwhile, Saifi had suspected jaundice and as a result, magistrate arrived at the hospital and decided to send Saifi to judicial custody.
Soon after the magistrate left, the medical board met the accused and after assessing the medical condition of Saifi, they decided that he could be discharged from the hospital.
However, the police will now decide at which jail he should be taken to, said the report on IANS.
