Kerala Students Union (KSU) activists held a protest at the Secretariate against the corruption charges on the universities in the state. The activists demanded the resignation of the Vice-Chancellors and a detailed investigation of appointments in the Higher Education Department.

Earlier, the Kerala High Court cancelled the appointment of the Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) Vice-Chancellor Dr Riji John. With this, the period from the date of appointment shall be void.
