Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday hailed his government for the different outreach programmes it is running during a program in Kerala. The Prime Minister reached the southern state on Monday as part of his mega two-day plan covering several states and multiple events. Speaking on the occasion he said that India is a bright spot on the global map. He listed four reasons, for this. PM Modi said that a decisive government at the Centre, investment in modern infrastructure, youth and skill development and a focus on ease of living and ease of doing business are the key factors maintaining country's growth.

The Prime Minister said that India's rail network is rapidly transforming and is getting prepared for higher speeds. Talking about Kerala's first Vande Bharat train and India's first water metro, he said, "Today, Kerala got its first Vande Bharat Train while Kochi got its water metro. Various connectivity and development projects were inaugurated as well."

He said that the Central government's global outreach efforts have played a crucial role in increasing India's credibility in the world and Keralites living in other countries are also benefitting from this.

"Our government emphasises cooperative federalism and considers the development of states as the source of the country's development. If Kerala develops then India will develop faster," PM Modi added.

He praised Kerala and said, "Kerala is a state of aware and educated people. Hardwork and humility of people here are part of their identity..."

"Most public transportation systems in the country, including Kochi Water Metro, are made in India," the PM said in Thiruvananthapuram. He added that the global outreach programmes of the central government have benefited Indians living abroad.

The Prime Minister noted, "Central government lays emphasis on cooperative federalism. If Kerala develops, India will develop faster."
