Congress senior leader Rahul Gandhi will lead the country in the next elections, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said, amid the ongoing slugfest between BJP and Congress over posters of PM Modi and MP Rahul Gandhi. The Congress leader said that the BJP was afraid of the popularity of Rahul Gandhi since the perception of the MP changed after 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' from the one that BJP tried to create.
Amid BJP-Congress slugfest over posters of PM and Rahul Gandhi, Karnataka Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said, "BJP is afraid of the popularity of Rahul Gandhi. After 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', the perception of Rahul Gandhi, that the BJP tried to create, has changed. He is the leader to be watched. He will lead the country in the next elections."

On Wednesday, BJP kickstarted a row after it shared a poster on social media showing Congress MP Rahul Gandhi as a ‘new age’ Ravan, a demon king in epic Ramayana. This poster received widespread criticism from the Opposition party. Congress leaders across India staged a protest against BJP.
In a tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, BJP posted, "The new age Ravan is here. He is Evil. Anti Dharma. Anti Ram. His aim is to destroy Bharat."
