Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates and lays the foundation stone of mechanization and industrialization projects worth Rs 3800 crores in Mangaluru. Earlier, PM Modi arrived in Mangaluru at 2.10 PM after commissioning INS Vikrant, India's first indigenously built aircraft carrier, in Kochi. Upon his arrival in Mangaluru, huge crowd including BJP workers welcomed the PM at Goldfinch City grounds at Bangra Kuluru in the city.


After inauguration of the projects, he addressed a gathering and explained how success of Make in India and an increase in exports will play a crucial role in development of the country.

While addressing a gathering on this occasion, PM Modi said, "New India is the land of new opportunities. The commissioning of INS Vikrant is a proud moment for all citizens. We've launched various industrial projects worth Rs 3700 cr. These projects will help in strengthening trade & commerce with an increase in ease of doing business."


While explaining how crucial increasing exports is for the development of India, he said, "Through One District One Product program, we'll be able to open market opportunities for artisans in Karnataka. Success of Make in India, and increasing exports are crucial for the development of India. To support this we're developing our infrastructure for better logistics."


"Today's India is focused on the development on state of the art infrastructure, as this is the road to developed India. Through infrastructure development we can create new jobs and create new opportunities," PM Modi said as quoted by news agency ANI.


Speaking about sustainable development, PM Modi said, "India is moving forward with the mindset of green growth and green jobs." The BJP government schemes like Ayushman Bharat, and Kisan credit card have turned out to be successful in giving better life for the poor and the fisherfolk in the state.
