Chennai: IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil and IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri were transferred without posting due to a fight between them over sharing private photos on social media. 


According to ANI, "Karnataka | IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil and IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri transferred without posting after fight on social media over sharing private photos."






On Sunday, D Roopa posted private images of Sindhuri on social media. She also said that Sindhuri allegedly violated service conduct rules by sharing her private images with three male IAS officers in 2021 and 2022, as per a report on NDTV.


However, Sindhuri said, "As per protocol, Government officials should not go to the media, that's why I didn't speak. D Roopa has made several baseless allegations against me. I came here to file a complaint with the Chief Secretary in this regard."


After the issue became public, Karnataka Home Minister said that he discussed about the issue with the police chief and informed the CM. He also assured to take action against them.


Meanwhile, Joint Secretary to Government, Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Bengaluru, Basavarajendra was transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Commissioner for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Bengaluru in the place of Rohini Sindhuri Dasari.


IAS Bharathi D who was waiting for posting was posted with immediate effect and until further orders as Managing Director, Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation Ltd. Bengaluru in the place of IAS Roopa.


IAS Munish Moudgil, Commissioner, Survey Settlement & Land Records, Bengaluru was transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Principal Secretary to Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Administrative Reforms), Bengaluru in the place of Dr. Srivatsa Krishna.
