Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the India Energy Week on Monday in Bengaluru, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that Karnataka is the highest renewable energy manufacturer in India with 50,000 Megawatts produced by renewable energy.


Stating that his government has brought an investor-friendly EV policy, CM Bommai said, "Karnataka has the highest number of Electric Vehicles and EV passengers in the country.


"Karnataka is a high producer of ethanol. We have a goal of achieving a 20 per cent blend of ethanol by 2025. The PM & our ultimate slogan is maximum power with minimum emission."

After inaugurating the India Energy Week 2023, PM Modi on Monday said that despite the impact of the pandemic and war, India remained a global bright spot in 2022. Speaking at India Energy Week 2023 in Bengaluru, PM Modi said, "recently, IMF released the growth projection for 2023. The projection states that India is going to be the fastest-growing major economy. Despite the impact of the pandemic and war, India remained a global bright spot in 2022.


"Whatever the external circumstances, due to internal resilience, India overcame all challenges. Multiple factors were behind it. 1) Stable, decisive government, 2) sustained reforms and 3) socio-economic empowerment at the grassroots."
