Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 15 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday claimed that Congress Party president Rahul Gandhi had no idea of ground reality.
"Congress party president Rahul Gandhi doesn't know anything about the ground reality or the values and culture of India. He has not seen any villages or farms, he has no idea of their lifestyle either," he told ANI.
Shivraj further claimed that when Congress was in power in Madhya Pradesh, no developmental work had been done.
"Congress had left behind a 'bimaaru' (sick) state, which I then developed. Rahul (Gandhi) has no idea of farming. I'm not sure if he is even aware of how vegetables are cultivated. They (Congress) are desperate as they are not in power. They should first see what progress was made in Madhya Pradesh under their rule and then talk to me," he added.
Meanwhile, Chouhan expressed confidence in the BJP's victory in the state with full majority.
"We are very much sure that for the fourth time in a row, BJP will form a government in Madhya Pradesh. We will be forming the government with the full majority for sure. We have the leadership of our honourable PM Narendra Modi Ji with us," he said.
Chouhan, while addressing the Jan Ashirwad Yatra earlier in the day, assured natives that development of the state would be his priority, and appealed to people to vote for him. (ANI)
