New Delhi: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam, which has been raised to a height of 138 meters, in Narmada district. This inauguration coincides with his 67th birthday. (Image: ANI)

The foundation stone was laid as on April 5, 1961, by former PM Jawaharlal Nehru but it took 56 years to complete dam's construction. It is said to be the world's second biggest dam. (Image: ANI)
