Sopore (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 21 (ANI): Two terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba were arrested by the Sopore police, with the assistance of Rashtriya Rifles and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from Danger Pora in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore on Saturday.
The police recovered one grenade, one magazine, 15 rounds of AK- 47 and two matrix sheets.
The police acted upon a credible intelligence source and arrested the two terrorists identified as Tanveer Ahmad Mir and Tanveer Ahmad Najar.
The police were assisted by the 22 Rashtriya Rifles of the army and 177 and 179 battalions of the CRPF.
The police have registered an FIR in the case in the Sopore police station and will further investigate the matter.
On July 19, terrorists opened fire on a police party at Sopore bypass. No casualties were reported in the attack.
And on June 18, a group of terrorists hurled a grenade at a police post in Sopore's Watergram area. In retaliation, the armed forces also initiated a firing on the terrorists and later launched a search operation in the region. (ANI)
