Two pilots died after a the chopper that took off from Srinagar airbase, crashed in an open field in Budgam this morning. (ANI)
Budgam SSP was quoted as saying that IAF's technical team will visit the spot and ascertain facts.
The chopper broke into two and caught fire immediately, the officials said, adding one body was seen near the site crash.
The chopper crashed in an open field near Garend Kalaan village in Budgam at 10.05 am, the officials said.
IAF's Mi-17 transport chopper crashed in Jammu and Kashmir's Badgam district, 7 km from the Srinagar International Airport on Wednesday.
