Cars Set Ablaze Near Sirsa After Ram Rahim Singh Sentenced To 10 years

Two cars was set on fire by unknown persons in the Kotli village near Sirsa today after Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was sentenced to ten years in prison for rape.

According to some villagers, a group of people arrived in cars near Kotli village. Occupants of one of the cars came out, torched the vehicles and then went away in the other car, the villagers said.

There were reports of fresh violence in Sirsa town on Monday afternoon. Two vehicles were set on fire by Dera followers, sources said.

Both luxury cars that were torched came out of Dera Sacha Sauda headquarters in Sirsa. Police said It appears that followers of Dera Sacha Sauda were involved.
