India Should Be ‘Alarmed’ About Taiwan After President Lai Wishes Modi, Says China

The Chinese Foreign Ministry Thursday stated that there is “no such thing” as President of Taiwan and opposes all forms of official interactions between Taiwan and those countries that have diplomatic ties with China, which includes India.

India-China: A day after the President of Taiwan Lai Ching-Te wished Narendra Modi for winning the Lok Sabha elections, China Thursday warned India and cautioned it to be “alarmed” about Taiwan’s “political calculations” and remain firm on the ‘One-China’ principle.
