PM Modi Must Get The Credit For India's G-20 Presidency: Amit Shah

Shah hailed PM Modi over India getting the presidency of G-20 and said that If India has got the presidency of G-20 during PM Modi’s tenure then he must get the credit for it.

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over India getting the presidency of G-20 and said that If India has got the presidency of G-20 during PM Modi’s tenure then he must get the credit for it if G-20 is successful in India, as reported by the news agency ANI. Shah further said that If the product is good, it must be marketed with pomp and show.

In an interview with news agency ANI, the Union Minister said, “If India has got the presidency of G-20 during Modi ji's time and G-20 is successful, then Modi ji must get the credit. Why not ? If the product is good then it must be marketed with pomp and show,” Shah told ANI. India assumed the G20 Presidency on December 1, 2022.

India will hold events across the length and breadth of the country to showcase the wondrous diversity and modernisation of India. With the motto, "One Earth, One family, One future", India is prepared to bring the world together as the country is set to host around two hundred G-20-related events, including the marquee summit in September 2023, under the year-long presidency.

Speaking on the Adani-Hindenburg row, Shah said that it will not be appropraite for him to comment on the allegations leveled by Opposition on the Bharatiya Janata Party-led government over the issue. He further said that there is "nothing  for the BJP to hide or be afraid of."

"The Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the matter. As a minister, if the Supreme Court is seized of the matter it is not right for me to comment. But in this, there is nothing for the BJP to hide and nothing to be afraid of," Shah said. The Opposition has been targeting the government over the Adani-Hindenburg report alleging that the party has been "favouring' the Adani Group.
