Maldives To Participate In India's Mega MILAN 24 Naval Exercise, Despite Diplomatic Row

Despite having issues with New Delhi over the presence of the Indian Army personnel in the island nation, Male has decided to send its Navy to be part of the naval war games.

New Delhi: Despite the ongoing diplomatic row, Maldives has decided to send its Navy contingent to participate in India’s mega biennial multinational naval war games — MILAN 24 — to be held in Visakhapatnam from February 19-27. The exercise will see participation by the navies of over 50 countries, which have dispatched their naval operational units and delegations. The decision by Maldives to participate in the exercise comes when both sides held two rounds of high-level core
