Maldives President Tones Down Rhetoric On India, Agrees On Joint Committee

PM Narendra Modi met Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu for the first time in Dubai on the margins of COP28 meet and agreed to set up a high-level joint committee. This comes in the backdrop of Muizzu facing internal political issues and potential rift with ex-President Yameen, a vocal anti-India proponent.
