Opinion | India’s Military Power Grappling With Critical Gaps. New Govt Needs To Take Some Quick Decisions

With India set to emerge as the third-largest economy, defence forces need to be adequately prepared to safeguard its economic, territorial & strategic interests in accordance with this status.  

When a new government is sworn in at the Centre later this month, it has its work cut out on the security front at least. The Ladakh stand-off, which began in 2020, has deepened the perceived threat from China, even as the Indian armed forces – from the Air Force to the Army and Navy – struggle with limited resources.
