'Ideas Of India Summit', the flagship event of ABP Network, has entered its third edition this week. The grand event, planned for February 23 and 24, will feature prominent figures from across fields.

In the latest edition of the summit, famous IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma whose life and struggle influenced the critically-acclaimed film 12th Fail will join the session titled, "Courage and Compassion: The Incredible True Story of an Unlikely Hero."

The movie, based on Anurag Pathak’s 2019 non-fiction book of the same name, narrates the true story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who went against all adds and cracked the prestigious UPSC examination to become an Indian Police Service officer.

The story of Manoj Sharma hit the limelight ever since the movie-  12th Fail, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and starring Vikrant Massey was released in December 2023.

The movie not only made its way to the OTT platform and got a fan following but also became one of the most-watched films on the OTT platform a few days after its release.

Sharma is currently working with the Mumbai Police as an Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP). He has also served as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
