New Delhi: The fear of third wave of Covid-19 has started to wane as the number of cases has gone down across the country. India has registered 22,270 fresh cases and 325 deaths In last 24 hours on Saturday, according to the health ministry update.


The registered cases are 14 per cent lower than Friday. Around 175.03cr vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.

India's active caseload currently stands at 2,53,739 and active cases stand at 0.59 per cent. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.21 per cent with 60,298 recoveries in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries stand at 4,20,37,536, according to nes agency ANI.


Daily positivity rate stand at 1.80 per cent while weekly positivity rate is at 2.50 per cent.







Meanwhile, Delhi has reported 607 fresh Covid-19 cases and four deaths on Friday while the positivity rate dropped to 1.22 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.


There are 15,306 beds for Covid patients in Delhi hospitals and 347 (2.27 per cent) of them were occupied, the health department bulletin stated on Friday.


Thane district of Maharashtra has added 114 coronavirus positive cases taking the total count to 7,07,677, an official told PTI on Friday. The virus claimed the lives of four persons, which pushed the death toll in the district to 11,859. Thane's mortality rate is 1.67 per cent, he added.


In neighboring Palghar district, the caseload has grown to 1,63,244, while the death toll stood at 3,391, another official said.


More than 172.04 crore (1,72,04,92,970) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through government (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category.


More than 11.17Cr (11,17,10,731)balance and unutilized Covid-19 Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
