New Delhi: India on Saturday reported 2,858 new coronavirus infections, 3,355 recoveries, and 11 deaths in 24 hours. According to the Union health ministry data, India's infection tally rose to 4,31,19,112, while the active cases have declined to 18,096. On Friday, India reported 2,841 new COVID infections 3,295 recoveries, and 9 deaths. The active cases of Coronavirus in the country constituted 0.04 per cent of the total infections while the COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.74 per cent.
The ministry data updated at 8 am showed that the total recoveries were at 4,25,76,815, while the death toll climbed to 5,24,201.

The country's daily COVID positivity rate was reported to be at 0.58 per cent and the weekly positivity rate at 0.69 per cent.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in India declined by 508 in a 24-hour span to reach 18,096.
Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 191 crore with 1,91,15,90,370 vaccine doses being administered so far.
Four COVID Deaths In Delhi, Highest Single-Day Death Count In Over Two Months
Delhi on Friday recorded 899 new Covid cases and four fatalities, the highest single-day death count in over two months, while the positivity rate stood at 3.34 percent, the health department stated.
The city had logged three Covid deaths on March 7 and four fatalities due to the disease on March 4.
Delhi on Thursday had recorded 1,032 fresh COVID-19 cases and zero death, while the positivity rate was 3.64 percent.
With the fresh cases, the national capital's overall Covid tally has increased to 18,99,072 while the death toll has mounted to 26,188.
Delhi had recorded 970 fresh Covid cases at a positivity rate of 3.34 percent and one death on Wednesday.
The number of patients under home isolation was 3,288 on Friday, the bulletin stated as it informed that there were 4,341 active cases.
